A Day at Camp.
Camps by KT is everything and then some! We offer so much enrichment in a week of camp, that your child will be given a crash course of all things that will expand their potential! Providing professionals to design and teach particular entities of our camp (so cool!); these professionals also reiterate to our campers, that they can be whatever they choose to become! IF YOU CAN SEE IT, YOU CAN BE IT! Below are the many extra curriculars that are offered when your lil camper attends “Camps by KT”! Monday through Friday campers will participate in an in-house field trips; and bounce play.
Cooking Classes: Do you have a child who loves to cook? You’ll be happy to know we have the perfect in-house field trip awaiting each week of “Camps by KT”. Our cooking classes teach the fundamentals of culinary technique- designed and taught by professional chef; Chef Bland of Flavor Fetish!
Public Speaking and Self Empowerment: We are focused and committed to your child’s growth and improvement! Campers will have fun connecting with their peers while gaining confidence and effective communication skills in a small, safe, supportive environment! The perfect in-house field trip awaiting each week at “Camps by KT”. Learning public speaking, voice modulation, and body language- designed and taught by professional speech therapist; Angela Pope!
Engineering: Whether you have a future engineer, architect or mechanic in your midst, we bring the excitement to engineering education! The perfect in-house field trip awaiting each week at “Camps by KT”. Using both their hands and minds, campers will investigate important science, engineering and architectural concepts- designed and taught by Electrical Engineer; Darrelyn Smith!
Science: Promoting a healthy interest in the sciences by giving kids a chance to do fun, interactive experiments. The perfect in-house field trip awaiting each week at “Camps by KT”. Growing leaders, problem solvers and peace makers- designed and taught by Former HoustonISD Elementary Science Teacher; Sherry Collings!
Fine Arts: Creating FINE ART lovers! Each week we pick an inspiring artist to discuss and study; from Basquiat to Andy Warhol to Picasso. Following study and discussion we create an imitation piece! We most recently have been recognized by Amy Sherald; whom painted Michelle Obamas portrait that is now highlighted at the America’s Presidents: of National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. She not only recognized “Camps by KT” but she also posted us on her social media page (Instagram), it was an exciting moment for us! Campers will also study, and learn an inspirational poem per week; from Shel Silverstein to A.A. Milne to Nikki Giovanni.
Keepsake Crafts: Exploring creativity through a range of materials and concepts. We reach beyond and create keepsake art that is unique and inspiring!
Field Trips: The majority of our field trip will be in-house. However we will participate in off campus field trips.
Free play: Campers will have an opportunity to enjoy time for free play, always directly supervised. Free play will take place in the inflatable bounce area, and outdoors.
Games: Campers will participate in fun, and active games that are thought provoking, and engages community.
